TOP TEN BASICS TO BUILDING A SUCCESSFUL CO-OP CAMPAIGN

1. Find an agency, individual or organization to serve as a catalyst.

2. Establish clear, obtainable and measureable campaign goals.

3. Identify primary geographic and demographic target markets for promotion.

4. Identify possible partners who want to reach the same target markets.

5. Create a plan and a budget that will allow for co-op and will meet the marketing needs of all partners.

6. Develop a simple pitch sheet that clearly explains all aspects and benefits of the program.

7. Allow enough time to present, modify and sell the program.

8. Solicit participation and obtain written commitments from partners.

9. Obtain written approvals from all partners before releasing materials to media or printers.

10. Solicit feedback from all partners after promotion has run and always commit to building and expanding programs that have potential.
